Aqaba

a gem on the gulf

Ancient and modern perfectly blended

Aqaba, an ancient city filled with a wonderful blend of old and new.

Aqaba is the only coastal city in Jordan and is situated in southernmost tip of Jordan. It is an ancient city with history dating back to 4000 BC. Although an ancient city, it is now brimming with budget and 4-star hotels, restaurants serving many sorts of cuisine, businesses, souvenir shops, and cultural sites.

Since Aqaba is located near Wadi Rum and Petra, many tourists choose to visit this “triangle of tourism.” It has 23 km of shoreline. The gulf is filled with corals and marine life. Petra Divers is located in the heart of the city near the coast near many hotels. This makes it easy for our guests to find our dive shop.

Come and enjoy the beauty of Aqaba. Dive in its beautiful waters. You won’t regret it.

Plenty of dive sites to choose from!

Aqaba is renowned for being a great location for diving and snorkeling. As shown on this map, there are 14 dive sites to choose from within the Aqaba Marine Park easily accessible from shore.

Probably the most well known dive sites and most frequently visited are Japanese Gardens, the Tank Wreck and Seven Sisters, and One of Aqaba’s most famous dive sites is the wreck of the Cedar Pride, a Lebanese freighter sunk in 1985. New scuttles include the C130 Hercules, the TriStar, and the Underwater Military Museum.

My passion is diving and teaching others this amazing sport. And Aqaba is a great place to dive and to learn how to dive. The water clarity is excellent and the temperature is warm most of the year. And on top of that, we have an amazing diversity of corals and marine life.
