THE GULF OF AQABAIS CAPTIVATING!

If you are a underwater photographer, then you’ll love the waters of the Gulf of Aqaba.

Thirteen kilometers of Aqaba’s coastline, which stretches over a total of 27 kilometers, are covered with globally diverse coral reefs. Coral reefs in the Gulf of Aqaba cover almost half of Aqaba’s coastline, offering over 20 diving locations for the exploration of diverse, colorful and unique coral reefs. Research have found at least 150 species of hard corals along the Gulf of Aqaba’s coastline.

These reefs are home to about 1000 species of fish, including colorful clownfish, parrotfish and angelfish. Other frequently seen marine life include nudibranchs, shrimps, octopuses, lionfish, and stonefish. Protected green turtles frequent the dive sites and harmless whale sharks pay a visit in summer.

My passion is diving and teaching others this amazing sport. And Aqaba is a great place to dive and to learn how to dive. The water clarity is excellent and the temperature is warm most of the year. And on top of that, we have an amazing diversity of corals and marine life.
